Method for removal
- Select the correct tool required to remove the pedal, as mentioned in the last section
- Before we start, let’s stop and think for a moment about which way we should twist the pedal spindle in order to remove it. Remember, as I mentioned previously, the right pedal has normal threads while the left is always reverse-threaded
3.Using the correct size tool apply force in the correct direction to loosen the pedal, I recommend wearing gloves and covering up the chain ring with a rag. Pedals can be tight and if you slip during removal it is easy to skin your knuckles!
