We will be holding interviews for the up & coming program in July/September for Limerick, the Midlands academy will be available for students in September 2021 & the Kilkenny/Waterford region academy will be opening in October 2021.
Entry onto the program is interview based & not subject to prior qualifications. The main attributes needed to obtain a place is a willingness to learn & a love of bicycles.
The bicycle industry is growing all over the world at a rapid pace & if you are interested in a career at the highest level then this pioneering unique course is for you.
The course is now very successful & operational with its third intake of students with many finding employment immediately.
The attendance rate is 97% which for adult education is something of a record which we are very proud of, we have proved that a subject matter can be interesting & engaging within adult education, why not do something you love as an occupation.

- The objective of this Engineering diploma is to gain accreditation in mechanical engineering uniquely utilising the professional bicycle manufacturing process from design to finished product.
- In addition to the engineering diploma this uniquely designed course will also provide the learner with a path way to 4 independent City & Guilds certificates in Cad, Bicycle mechanics, electronic engineering & personal development thus offering many directions towards further progression in higher education or direct employment.
- Training Course duration 1250 Hours
- (Full year program including 12 week (480 hours) managed professional working experience)
Developed in Ireland by industry professionals with more than 30 years experience, the course is delivered over 1,300 hours & includes a range of accredited City & Guilds engineering modules. CAD, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, Bicycle maintenance & Business development.
Based against the design & construction of a bespoke bicycle, the course takes the student from basic bicycle design concepts of the manufacturing of their own hand built bicycle.
